The Chaparrí Wildlife Tour offers an unforgettable nature experience in one of the most important conservation areas of northern Peru.
Located in the foothills of the Andes near Chiclayo, the Chaparrí Ecological Reserve protects a unique dry forest ecosystem that shelters a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna. This private reserve was created by the local community to preserve the region’s natural heritage and endangered wildlife.
During the visit, travelers may observe the famous Spectacled Bear, Peru’s only native bear species, along with deer, foxes, and many bird species that inhabit the dry forest landscape. The reserve also hosts conservation programs dedicated to protecting wildlife and restoring natural habitats.
Visitors interested in exploring more of the region’s cultural heritage often complement this nature experience with the Pomac Forest & Sicán Museum Tour, where ancient pyramids rise from the dry forest landscape, or with the Chotuna Pyramids & Brüning Museum Tour, which reveals the archaeology and legends of the Lambayeque civilization.
