Our first destination is Cumbemayo, located at over 3,500 meters above sea level. Here you will find a remarkable system of canals carved directly into volcanic rock more than 3,000 years ago.

These canals are still functional today, demonstrating an advanced understanding of water management long before the rise of the Inca civilization.

The surrounding landscape is equally fascinating — a “stone forest” of unusual rock formations shaped by erosion, creating a surreal and almost mystical environment.

Next, we visit the Ventanillas de Otuzco, a site composed of hundreds of small niches carved into rock cliffs. These niches served as ancient burial chambers and remain one of the most visually striking archaeological sites in the region.

To end the day, we visit the Baños del Inca, natural hot springs used since pre-Hispanic times. According to tradition, Inca rulers once bathed here.
